Hi there!

I’m Butterfly Kingsley, a neurodivergent therapist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Clinical Therapist

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and a Master’s in Social Work Leadership from Western Michigan University, along with a graduate program focused on Substance Use Disorder Counseling. My journey in this field has taught me the importance of trauma-informed care and how to support people dealing with OCD, ADHD, SUD (Substance Use Disorder) and  HIV-related issues.

As a proud parent and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I’m committed to educating families about the importance of understanding and compassion. I love helping parents, friends, and family members learn how to support their loved ones on their own terms and build loving, lasting relationships.

My mission as a therapist can be summed up in my mantra: “Where Shame And Healing Begins.” I strive to create a safe space for my clients to process their feelings, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I view therapy as a collaboration, and I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you tap into your inner strength and growth.

I’m a firm believer in equity and social justice and think everyone has the right to live their truth. I’m here to support you through your journey of healing and acceptance because I believe that each person’s journey is their own unique story.

When it comes to my skills, I pride myself on cultural competence, empathy, and active listening. I value open communication and critical thinking, and I always aim to be patient and respectful of your boundaries.

Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my animals—they’re my little healers! Being a mother is my greatest joy, and I prioritize time with family and friends. I enjoy traveling, exploring nature, and spending time by the water. I’m also a big fan of psychological thrillers and mystery movies, and I love going to comedy shows to see my favorite comedians.

If you’re looking for a supportive space where you can explore your feelings and grow, I’d love to connect! You can reach me at [Phone Number] or visit our website at [Website URL]. Let’s embark on this healing journey together!
